Ayer y hoy, la Federación Empresaria Hotelera Gastronómica de la República Argentina organiza en Santa Cruz, la 207º Reunión de Consejo Directivo, con más de 200 dirigentes.

El acto de apertura, que se llevó a cabo ayer, estuvo a cargo del presidente de la Federación, Roberto Brunello, y el presidente de la Filial local, la Cámara de Comercio, Turismo, Industria y Afines de El Calafate, Julio Oscar Gómez; quienes estuvieron acompañados por el intendente de la ciudad de El Calafate, Javier Belloni; la secretaria de Turismo de la provincia de Santa Cruz, Mariana Navarro; y los integrantes del Comité Ejecutivo, Alejandro Moroni, José Rafael Miranda, Gustavo Fernández Capiet, Graciela Fresno, Claudio Aguilar y Antonio Roqueta.

Roberto Brunello destacó la relevancia de la ciudad anfitriona: “Es un emblema del turismo patagónico”. Con su Parque Nacional Perito Moreno, a través de la actividad, se “logró transformar un pueblo de pocos habitantes en un destino de más de 8300 camas y varios vuelos diarios”.
Agregó: “Sobrellevamos como podemos la falta de rentabilidad y de competitividad. Este pulso de la realidad late en todo el país hotelero gastronómico, se replica en cada reunión que organizamos en todas las regiones argentinas. Es nuestro deber manifestarlo en cada espacio disponible”.
Indicó que la mirada del dirigente empresario sobre la realidad nunca puede ser neutral, “porque hay muchas situaciones en juego”. Concluyó: “Somos optimistas en relación al futuro, porque así edificamos nuestras empresas. Aspiramos a seguir construyendo un país con igualdad para todos, con movilidad social, confiable, competitivo, que promueva la inversión privada”.
El intendente de la ciudad de El Calafate, Javier Belloni, manifestó su orgullo por recibir al Consejo Directivo de FEHGRA. Expresó que desde 2007, cuando comenzó su gestión, han trabajado fuertemente para instalar la Marca y situar al destino en el mapa argentino y en el internacional. Expresó que se esforzaron por regular el mercado; y superaron situaciones difíciles, como los años en donde hubo cenizas volcánicas o no había suficientes vuelos.
Destacó el rol de Aerolíneas Argentinas: “Es nuestro socio estratégico, ha hecho que viniera mucha más gente”. Subrayó la importancia de la creación del Ente Mixto, el acompañamiento de la comunidad y de las instituciones, y destacó especialmente el rol de la Filial local.
La secretaria de Turismo de la provincia de Santa Cruz, Mariana Navarro, expresó que este tipo de eventos, en especial esta reunión de FEHGRA, jerarquizan la ciudad, la provincia y fundamentalmente la actividad. Destacó el trabajo en conjunto con el sector privado y la fortaleza de instituciones gremiales: “FEHGRA es el mejor ejemplo de este trabajo”.
En el marco de la gestión de la Secretaría de Turismo, enfatizó el acompañamiento de laFilial FEHGRA Río Gallegos. Habló de dos desafíos pendientes para la actividad turística de la provincia, anunciando la convocatoria a todos los legisladores provinciales, locales, nacionales, y a los Municipios, para cambiar y aggionar la legislación en materia de Turismo y de Categorización Hotelera.
El presidente de la Filial local, Julio Oscar Gómez, explicó que desde hace más de tres décadas la Cámara impulsa “el desarrollo y mejoramiento de la actividad hotelera y gastronómica del destino, con un resultado que están a la vista pero que no constituye la meta, ya que queda mucho por hacer”. Con 73 hoteles y 26 restaurantes con participación activa, la entidad lleva adelante un intenso Programa de Capacitación Continua, participa en el Torneo Nacional de Mucamas y el Torneo Nacional de Chef -en 2014 el Hotel Eolo Spirit obtuvo el Tenedor de Oro-, entre otras acciones.
